Gardner Warren Marten explained how the planting area was selected and the long term strategy for bulb planting. We noted that the volunteers all had a favourite planting method. One used a dibbler, one used a bulb planter but most lifted a small section of grass and laid the corms on the soil. The dibbler seemed to be the fastest and least demanding method.
