Charity award for Cookstown Rotary Club
Cookstown Rotary Club has had it's charity work recognised by the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action.
At a Gala Awards night in Belfast, President Colin Thompson was presented with a certificate of appreciation for the support given by the club to the Northern Ireland Hospice Care. This charity, which was the main beneficiary of the 2007 May Ball, had nominated Cookstown Rotary Club for this award.
The Gala Awards is one of the highlights in the Northern Ireland voluntary and community sector calendar and the event on February 7 2008 was hosted by Paul Clark of UTV.
