Cheque for Childrens Hospice
One of the charities to benefit from the proceeds of the 2007 May Ball was the Northern Ireland Childrens Hospice.
At our lunchtime meeting on Tuesday 18 September 2007, Angela Davidson from the charity was presented with a cheque for £16,500 by President Colin Thompson. Angela had earlier given the club a talk on the work of the hospice and had attended the May Ball. She was delighted with this contribution to the charity and Cookstown Rotary Club was also delighted to be supporting such a worthy cause.
Also present at the handover were Past Presidents Keith Burrows,Sandra McKenna and President-Elect Stephen Wilson who had been deeply involved in organising such a successful event.
