Cheque to Hope and Homes
At an evening meeting on 6 May, Cookstown Rotary Club members,family and friends had a fascinating talk from Rick Foulsham,Chief Executive of the Hope and Homes for Children Charity.
This Charity works mainly in Eastern Europe and aims to move children out of institutions into family based care. Rick gave a thought provoking talk on the charity's philosophy and work. Cookstown Rotary Club has supported Hope and Homes in the past and after the talk acting President, Rotarian Ricky Butler presented Rick with a cheque for £5,000. Helping present the cheque was Past District Governor Alastair Laird who has had a close interest with Hope and Homes over many Years.
