DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISIT
On Tuesday 18 November 2008, Cookstown Rotary Club President Stephen Wilson welcomed District Governor Paul Hutchinson and his wife Marney to the weekly lunchtime meeting. These club visits usually involve much travel for a D.G.but as Paul is from Newtownabbey this was a short jaunt!
A good turnout of Rotarians heard President Stephen give a detailed life history of Paul and his achievements in Rotary.
Paul gave an inspirational talk to members and emphasised the Make Dreams Real theme of International President Dong-Kurn Lee.
He praised the past efforts of Cookstown Rotay Club but encouraged us to " think big" and improve club management and leadership.
He presented President Stephen with a banner on Make Dreams Real which includes the Korean flag twisted to represent a mother and child. Stephen thanked Paul for his visit and by coincidence Marney won the weekly wine draw!
