Haiti Fundraising Effort

With the devastating events in Haiti, where up 200,000 people are feared dead and over 1 million left homeless, it is imperative that urgent help reaches our fellow man as soon as humanly possible.  Cookstown Rotary Club in conjunction with Rotary International aim to send ShelterBoxes to the region. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while they are displaced and homeless.

Cookstown Rotary Club has therefore launched an Haiti Appeal, starting with Fundraising Breakfasts on:

Thursday 4th February 2010 at The Royal Hotel Cookstown
and
Friday 5th February 2010 at The Glenavon House Hotel Cookstown

From 7am - 10am

A full buffet breakfast is included at a minimal cost of only £10 per person and £5 per child.  The idea is simple, call in at any time between 7am-and 10am, pay on the door, then simply eat and leave knowing that by having breakfast you have helped save Haitian lives.

Please attend with your friends, family and work colleagues.

Donations will also accepted on the day, or at the following local Cookstown businesses: CFC Interiors, The Otter Lodge and McQueen's Jewellers.  Alternatively cheque donations can be made payable to Cookstown Rotary Club Haiti Appeal, C/O Glenavon Hotel, 52 Drum Road, Cookstown, BT80 8JQ.
