Mississippi Visitor

At its lunch meeting on Tuesday 24 June, Cookstown Rotary Club had a visit from Phillip Londeree a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar on exchange in Northern Ireland. Phillip, who has law studies at Queen's University, Belfast, is from Mississippi and is visiting many Rotary clubs.

He gave a fascinating talk on the effects of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and on his impressions of life in Northern Ireland. The latter were highly positive!

He presented a banner from his home club to President Colin and received a Cookstown one in return. He was a welcome articulate visitor and members felt that they could image him in action as an attorney in the southern states.
