Today, the 14th March Cookstown Rotary Club was delighted to host a visit by District Governor Gerry and Assistant District Governor William.

DG Gerry reminded the club of the founding principles of Rotary and of the success of a number of Rotary projects including the polio eradication project. Rotary has contributed some £1b to this project intended to eradicate polio globally. To date from the 1st January 2017, no new polio cases have been reported and Rotarians can be proud of their contribution to this global health project.

Past DG Alistair was able to share some of his memories from his time as District Governor including the coincidence of having a Lions DG from the same area.
